New Beginnings

Ok, so let me give you some background information about the player behind Jimmy Cobalt.  I’ve been playing this game since about a month after retail in 2003 so I know my stuff. I remember when heading out to 0.0 your biggest worries were the cruiser rats that tried to kill you while you tried to get some megacyte. I remember freaking out as Lord Zap tore apart my industrial hauler in a Megathron. I also remember how much fun it was to play when everything was new.

So, I decided to start over.

I’ve had two high skillpoint characters and developed a lot of relationships over the years I’ve played but some of it became too much of a burden. I didn’t hang out with my wife in the real world enough, didn’t pay enough attention to my kids….all because I needed to help people win at “internet spaceships.”

So, I’m taking a much more relaxed shot at this game called EVE Online and I’m going to do it in a relaxing way. I might get back into some RP, I intend to focus on honing my PvP skills once I get my character to where I want him and I’m probably going to run missions and find some peeps to hang out with that fit my style of play.

As far as the blog goes it’ll be a smattering of in-character, OOC and just plain observations from me as my time progresses in game once more. Hopefully it will have some sort of entertaining value.

Here’s to a new beginning, a new hope….
